Shirenewton and the surrounding villages of Earlswood, Gaerllwyd, Mynyddbach and Newchurch are in South East Wales, United Kingdom.More precisely, they lie in the Monmouthshire hills, seven miles to the west of the confluence of the rivers Wye and Severn. There's a map and a satellite picture available.

Thanks for all the support villagers gave to our charity music festival Shirefest 2016 - we have raised nearly £500 more than last year's record £4000. The date for your diaries for next year is Saturday 3rd June 2017. See our web site for more details.
Are you still without decent broadband? Even though Shirenewton exchange has been fibre enabled many people are too remote to achieve decent speeds. There's a way of getting faster broadband through the use of radio links - see here.
